The #GardentoGarden competition
Posted on 21.07.2020Update – September 2020 – Meet the winners!
If you’re aged 8-18 years and interested in the natural world, this is a competition as part of our Heritage Lottery-funded Garden to Garden project calling out for any images of bees, butterflies or other insects. It closes on the 18th September – so get busy!
We appreciate as Autumn starts to turn in, you may see slightly fewer bees, butterflies and other insects out there, but there’s still time to take a look around you as thousands of #minibeasts are still about if you look up close! Or better still, scroll through your camera roll – there might just be a photo you’ve forgotten about waiting to be entered!
We’d love to see any photos, videos or drawings/sketches gathered from your time exploring insects (which can be inspired by our free Insect Explorer guide). The entries will be judged by a panel of artists, scientists and wildlife experts and we’ll be giving away a special clip-on microscope to our 5 favourite entries; and ensure your work is shared and celebrated widely!
The competition is open to anyone aged 8 – 18, living in any part of the world. The closing date for entries is midnight on the 18th September 2020. Images are judged on age and merit.
We’ll announce the winners by the 30th September 2020, so buzz off – and get exploring!
