Free bird illustration workshops with Juneau Projects this August
Posted on 10.08.2020We’re delighted to present two online free workshops for adults and families as part of our new Surroundings project with Juneau Projects, exploring North Lincolnshire Museum’s natural history collection of birds and their local bird populations.
Bird Illustration Paper Cutting Family Workshop, 13:00-15:00, 14th August
Join in with family a free online workshop with artists Juneau Projects to make bird illustrations by paper cutting!
Help us make bird illustrations for a forthcoming publication with North Lincolnshire Museums. Book a place and receive a free pack of coloured paper to use in the workshop.
The workshop will focus on making bird illustrations featuring local birds such as Humber Estuary wading birds like the lapwing, avocet and curlew.
Send your images back to us by post or email a photo to be included in the book (details will be provided to all workshop participants on where/ how to do this). The finished book will be given to all participants and will be on sale at North Lincolnshire Museums.
The workshop will be run online by Juneau Projects via Google Meet. Details for joining the workshop will be sent as part of your booking confirmation. If you require assistance with using Google Meet we will be very happy to provide further instructions and help.

Join in with a free online workshop for adults with artists Juneau Projects to make bird illustrations. Free painting kits will be available with everything you need to take part – beginners and experienced painters welcome.

Please note:
– We will post free painting kits to you including paint, brushes and paper – you will need to provide a pot of water and tissue/ cloth etc for wiping and cleaning your brushes . Please indicate on the form that you would like to receive the kit and enter the postal address you would like your kit sent to.
To ensure we can get your kit to you in time you will need to register by 11pm on 24 August. If you have your own equipment that you would prefer to use then please feel free – we would still be happy to send you a printing kit though if you would like one.
