Alice will be in conversation with artist Rasmus from SUPERFLEX at CHART Art Fair on Sunday 30 August, 13.00 in Copenhagen.

SUPERFLEX was founded in 1993 by Jakob Fenger, Bjørnstjerne Christiansen, and Rasmus Rosengren Nielsen. As an expanded collective, they work with a wide range of collaborators, from engineers and gardeners to audience members, developing projects that take the form of energy systems, sculptures, infrastructures, contracts and public spaces. Their practice explores alternative models of social and economic organisation, often through participatory and site-specific works, including major public space interventions such as Superkilen.

Invisible Dust’s Artistic Director, Alice Sharp works at the intersection of art, science and climate action, and has collaborated with SUPERFLEX on their new marine landmark Super Kello.

Super Kello is one of seven new artworks that make up Climate Clock: a new art trail in Oulu (Finland) curated by Alice Sharp. Super Kello provides the residents of Kello, a harbour in Haukipudas, with a place to sit, rest, and consider other ways to measure time. This bell-shaped stone sculpture faces out to sea like a light house, connecting the marine world to land; building a bridge between the underwater ecosystem of the fish and aquatic life and human habitation in nearby human dwellings. It welcomes fishing boats, sailing boats and leisure craft into the safety of the harbour.
