Breathe:2022 – Finale – Public Projection

Posted on 08.11.2022

Breathe:2022 by Dryden Goodwin, our year-long programme exploring the impact of air pollution reaches its crescendo on 30th November as a large-scale public projection on the side of the Old Town Hall, Catford- leading an urgent call for a clean air future.

The two-week nightly projection (from dusk till dawn) on the Old Town Hall Catford will animate 1,300 of Dryden’s original drawings in a powerful new work which highlights both our shared vulnerability around the air we breathe; and the shared power of taking action.

Premiering alongside Goodwin’s new work will be ‘Drawing Breath’; an ambitious new animation co-created by over 130 Lewisham Secondary School pupils in partnership with the artist.

Produced by Invisible Dust for We Are Lewisham, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan’s London Borough of Culture 2022, Dryden Goodwin’s Breathe:2022 is a multi-site art-work featuring large-scale zoetropic drawings of six Lewisham clean air campaigners and residents ‘fighting for breath’ – viewed by over 13 million people to date.

It’s free to see this amazing work – Just turn up, it’ll be shown from dusk till dawn each night over the two weeks.
