We are delighted to announce that Invisible Dust has been awarded National Portfolio (NPO) status by Arts Council England. This will contribute £180,000 towards the organisation’s costs for the next four years 2018-22.

National Portfolio status will enable us to work with artists on an ‘International Women and the Environment’ event in 2018, develop new artist programmes with scientists on environmental themes both locally and internationally, recruit new staff and establish a new programme of work with schools in Scarborough.

This follows our successful ‘Surroundings’ application for £547,000 from Arts Council England Ambitions for Excellence funding with Humber Museum Partnership for our programme of international artists residencies and exhibitions and young curators project.  This will launch with Gayle Chong Kwan’s sensory banquet looking at food and sustainability ‘Micro Climate’; a performance at Normanby Hall, North Lincolnshire on 23rd July 2017.

‘Offshore: artists explore the sea’ the exhibition we produced and curated with Hull Culture and Leisure as part of Hull UK City of Culture 2017 with Tacita Dean, John Akomfrah, Martin Parr and Mariele Neudecker continues till 28th August at Ferens Art Gallery and Hull Maritime Museum.
