Elizabeth Price wins CAS 2013 award

Elizabeth Price has won the Contemporary Art Society (CAS) Annual Award 2013 for £60,000 and will explore the collections of the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers museums.

Elizabeth Price has been artist in residence with a space scientist Dr Hugh Mortimer at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) in a residency set up by Invisible Dust and has created her first work since winning the Turner Prize ‘SUNLIGHT’ a new work including photographic plates of the sun from 1900 from the RAL archive.

‘SUNLIGHT’ is showing at Focal Point Gallery Southend until 28th December.
