We invite you to join the Invisible Dust Patrons Programme.

Invisible Dust has enabled the realisation of a number of major projects since 2009 by world-renowned artists including two Turner Prize winners. Our aim is that the artists  working with scientists create works that encourage awareness of, and provide meaningful responses to, environmental themes such as climate change and biodiversity.

Most recently the organisation has worked with Mariele Neudecker on a series of video installations on the deep sea, For Now We See, with marine biologist Professor Alex Rogers, Oxford University.  Turner Prize winner Elizabeth Price is developing her new video trilogy SUNLIGHT made with Dr Hugh Mortimer, a space scientist at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and to be shown at the National Maritime Museum in 2015.

In 2012 Invisible Dust won a Lord Mayor of London’s UK Sustainable City Award.

Patrons have an opportunity to participate directly by enabling the production of the artist’s projects, thereby ensuring that Invisible Dust can continue working to increase the visibility of these artists and raise awareness of the issues of sustainability and climate change.

Invisible Dust public art commissions, exhibitions, events and education programmes are fundraised for in entirety through funding bodies, trusts and foundations, individuals and corporate sponsorship. We often collaborate with arts agencies and other organisations to co-produce projects. We have large audiences (300,000 in 2012) and often work with large festivals to present our artworks.

The current economic climate means we have never needed individual support more.

All funds go directly into supporting artists to produce new work and the aim is to provide opportunities for Patrons to contribute to the sustainable support of Invisible Dust’s future, as well as being a key part of the Art and Science community.

Your support is greatly valued and appreciated, and as a small-scale organization, we offer a close and engaged relationship with all the organization’s activities. In recognition of benefactors’ support, we can offer a range of benefits and activities (detailed below). The most significant benefit is supporting the development of the artistic programme itself.

One year: £1,200 (or £100/month)

Invisible Dust Patrons join an intimate group of key supporters and participate in a close relationship with all the organisations activities.

Our Patrons are offered opportunities to attend bespoke events such as studio visits with artists or informal access to project development and participate in regular dialogue with the director and staff.
