‘Deep Above’ Young Persons Short Film Comp Winner: Sian Morton

In very little time 16 year old Sian Morton from Shawclough in Manchester managed to submit a very impressive short film, centered around her personal take on the global issue of Climate Change. With particularly slick editing, using large text overlaid on previously filmed footage, some of which was taken in Iceland, Morton was able to get her point across in a clear and effective manner which didn’t sacrifice visual appearance.

Adam Chodzko & Bianca Manu who were in charge of reviewing the films that were submitted, were very impressed by the professionalism of her film, which was apparent throughout. In the end, Morton was the stand out winner of the competition and her film was screened alongside Adam’s film ‘Deep Above‘ in the amazing audio-visual experience that is Texture in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Well done Sian, we wish you all the best for the future!
